Our St. Genevieve High School Cafe is almost finished! We have overcome many obstacles and completion is near. This will provide a beautiful and much
needed addition to our facility. It features commercial kitchen equipment, glass/mosaic tile, energy saving light fixtures and a fire safety
suppression system.
Currently there is not indoor seating, however the concrete slab just outside the front doors has been installed to accommodate for future patio
seating area. We are excited to finally have our own food venue for daily meals and special events. Construction has been steady and is projected to
finish by the start of the upcoming school year. “St. Genevieve students deserve a quality facility and I’m proud to be a part of such a great
project,” says Craig Michael (Craig Michael Construction).
When the cafe is up and running, students will be able to order from a set menu and daily specials. This will provide healthier eating options and
give students an opportunity to use the cafe before and after school. Mr. Patrick Palmeter, Dean of Character Formation said, “If you come to school
early, you can stop in and have breakfast.”
Having a facility that has many food service options for students has been goal for many years and now it is closer than ever. Many people have
assisted in the journey to provide a nutritional food service facility and we are grateful for everyone’s diligent work.
